This is my first live blog from a conference, the web 2.0 expo in Berlin organised by O‘Reilly. Although I am not going to turn this into a habit.
This expo is funny, one one hand it is an export of the successful web 2.0 conferences in the US. And some of the American Internet “crème-de-la-crème“ is giving keynote presentations.
Attendance is a lower than hoped by the organisers, the website somehow isn‘t a model of clarity, the location of Halle 2 in Berlin is hmmm, cold and industrial . On the plus-side that means, no problem to find a seat anywhere, be it in the keynote hall, or the smaller presentation rooms. And it is easy to have interesting conversations with visitors, exhibitors and presenters.
