As you see in the chart the last bit of the otherwise superb wordpress stat-tools nearly always looks "disappointing" (decreasing) because the chart is continuing to the current period (day week or month) - which is of course not completed then. So chartwise it's not wrong but can mislead.
My suggestion: discontinue the chartline for the last (current) time period, either draw a dotted line or indicate the current level with a vertical bar or simply a dot.
How about a general trend indicator like a compass, up, down or stable compared to the historical data of the chart (daily, monthly...)
One of the reasons I started using Wordpress last year was the clean interface, slightly techy, offering a great range of choices without overwhelming the user. And I love checking the stats and analyse how poeple have found my entries, which articles are popular and so on.
